The Archipelago Adventure Trophy is a Fun Mountain Bike Challenge for Everyone. This event has been designed for the enjoyment of every member of the family, from 9 to 99 years old. Located in Cangu (start/finish at the Cangu Club), the Archipelago Adventure Trophy consists of about two and a half hours of fun, exercise, challenges and education.
3 competitions (challenges), each taking place on a Sunday morning (between 9am and 11:30), of 3 events for teams of 3 competitors. The competitors will be classified in 4 divisions:
Division 1: Children (3 children between the age 9 and 14)
Division 2: Adults + Children (1 or 2 adults with 1 or 2 children under 14 years old)
Division 3: Men (3 men over the age of 14 years old)
Division 4: Women (3 Women over the age of 14 years old)
Each event will include:
1 Athletic portion: Mountain bike course through the rice fields of Cangu (difficulty level: low). One part of the course will include a 45 minutes ride with some “agility” requirements (i.e. river crossing, small bridge…) for the Division 2, 3 and 4. The division 1 (children) will be reduced in distance and difficulty and will last about 30 minutes. The winning team for each division will earn 5 points, the second team 3 points and the third team 1 point.
1 Technical Portion (i.e. timed trial for removing and remounting of a mountain bike front wheel): The winning team of each division will follow the same point allocation as above.
1 Cultural Portion: focused on Indonesia this portion will require answering questions on topics like Geography, History, Local Culture…..again the 3 top teams will follow the same point allocation as above.
The total of the point earned by the teams in each event, will determine the winner of each particular challenge. The winning team of the Archipelago Adventure Trophy, will be the team that accumulated the most points over the three challenges. Challenge 1 will take place on January 18, 2010; Challenge 2 on February 21, 2010 and Challenge 3 on March 19th, 2010).
You are welcome to signed up for only one of the Challenges (or two out of three), but you will increase your chances of winning the Trophy, if you participate in all three challenges.

The registration fee is 165,000 rp per person. Each participant will receive an event T-shirt; drinks, fruits and snacks will also be provided throughout the event.
The winning Team for each division will receive a Trophy and several other prices.
